XTargets Embedded Blockset

Introduction

The XTargets Embedded Blockset is designed to assist the enginner requiring to interface externally maintained or legacy code to the Simulink block diagram for the purposes of code generation. The engineer is not required to understand the S-Function API or the TLC programming language to quickly and correctly connect device drivers and legacy code.

The XCode block has many advanced and flexible features all controlled from the block dialog. See the block description page for full details on configuration and usage.

The Asynchronous Function Call block allows you to wrap Simulink subsystems as C functions and call them from your handwritten code or install them as handlers to interrupts. Properly configured data integrity can be maintained for passing data back to the main model.

• Simple Read Buffer Example.
  This model shows how easy it is to acquire data from functions that write data into a buffer.
• Multilple Inputs and Outputs
  This model shows examples of multiple inputs and multiple outputs. It also shows how to reference source code defined in external source and header files. Some of the blocks uses addressable inputs and outputs.
• Complex Signals
  This model shows it is possible to work with complex signals in your drivers.The model uses a C function called conj defined in an external file and references it using the blocks.

  This model shows how to work with Simulink buses and structures in your drivers.

  This model shows an example usage of the Asynchronous Function Call block.
